Chantal and Eric are very special friends of Mark and me. We met through the Forum QuébecAdoption, and then in the flesh at conferences on international adoption in Rivière-du-Loup. Since then our friendship has continued to grow. Same as during our last vacation we went to them a little visit.

Despite our sorrow that our adoption is not had a happy ending, we are happy for them. We are so happy that Maria Felix is finally in their arms. We look forward to your return to Quebec, and our next trip in your neck of the woods and finally pinch the cheeks of the little princess.

Everything is really over, nothing more to wait. Even just writing it hurts ... For more than two years, a little Angel was part of our lives and forget about will never be possible. This Angel has made us discover a wonderful country, Ukraine. I still hope one day to go visit his country.

For now, all this makes me very badly. I can not quite accept. I know from cons, we has made the best decision and I do not regret it.

I'll take a break from blog and forum for adoption at the moment, it's all too difficult.

I still want to thank all those (and those of course you are more) that we have encouraged and supported in this venture. You've really helped.

Our story is over with Ukraine by cons, I'll leave this blog open. You never know, maybe he can help others who have the same dream as us.

Welcome to Ukraine

Returning from vacation, we stopped at Edmundston in Nelson, Josie and the small Malika. Josiane we had bought a book on Ukraine. It is a beautiful book that speaks of Ukraine on several levels, culture, history and economics. The only flaw, it is in English. Long ago I was looking for a children's book on Ukraine.

Thanks Josie for telling me to speak, although I know that is not being arrested for hollowing out our adoption process and have been buying it for me. We do not engage more in Ukraine, but this country will always have a special place in our hearts, we never forget our little angel.

Speaking of little Angel, I still have a lot of trouble accepting it will never reach us. I do not know how to explain the pain I feel, but it is there. One day it will surely go better ...

Citizenship and Immigration Canada

Today I phoned Citizenship and Immigration Canada to withdraw my application to sponsor a child adopted from Ukraine. I actually forgot that part. I've only thought about this week. I tried calling earlier this week but I never managed to get the line. Today I could finally talk to someone. The only thing I had to do was send them a fax saying they had arrested any of the adoption process with Ukraine. I did everything that now is just wait for a letter from them confirming the closing of our file with Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Little by little, we will end up really close this chapter of our lives ...
