that memory men knew how to preserve the village maintains its Varages celebrations precious treasures. The second
"Encounters Varages" deal this year of dance, music and World Carnival.
They discuss music, song and dance of Carnival.
This theme will include both the Carnival alpine and the Haut Var the origins of carnival laughter . They also encompass
music accompanying this great feast, and the appearance of dance and traditional music of the Mediterranean basin.
These meetings will provide an opportunity for a broad overview of the main features of the Carnival in Provence and also culinary traditions during the holiday in Provence Verte.
For his prominent role of maintainer of traditions, Varages part again this year among the standard bearers of human memory.
As the body needs of terrestrial foods, the human soul refreshing drinks from the source that continues to convey the holidays.
It is not no future without a past, a future without memory, that river without source.

Director of the French Academy Drum prescription and "Drums of the Odyssey" Made a career as a musician, as Drum Percussionist in the Music of Peacekeepers in Paris.
André Carenini:
Director of Ethnology of the Southern Alps, is the author of numerous films and over 200 000 photographs on the celebrations and popular traditions of the Western Alps and Provence . He works on ritual, liturgy popular theater and illustrations in the Alps, an area in which he wrote and directed many documentary films.
